Safaricom MPESA Customers may start feeling insecure about trusting Safaricom with their money following an expose episode of those suspected to be behind the killings of hawkers in the city.
Joseph Gitonga Kihanya and Uzalendo, a lobby group, have moved to court seeking clarification of the matter. They claim that Safaricom Employees with access to customer information are behind the ordeal and are worried that their money is not safe anymore.
Safaricom through its law enforcement manager Mr.Weldon Singok has dismissed the matter saying information was released after a court order requiring a release of MPESA statements and call data of the men in question was given earlier in March.
