Good news for Safaricom subscribers as Safaricom has reduced charges for calls and data by up to 99 per cent for over 200 networks across world. This follows successful negotiations with its global network of partners.
Data roaming charges have reduced to sh.14 per MB in over 52 countries and Safaricom customers will be able to enjoy these slashed data rates as well as reduced call rates.
According to the Communications Authority of Kenya there has been a decrease in the volume of incoming and outgoing international voice traffic. Safaricom CEO, Bob Collymore said that the reduced roaming rates go hand in hand with their leading priority which is optimizing their customers and ensuring they have the best experience on Safaricom network.
