The Embu County Government has promised to recruit more doctors after doctors in the county went on strike to protest inadequate medics. Speaking at the County headquarters, County secretary Raymond Kinyua said they were bringing on board more doctors.
He said they were in two weeks time going to recruit ten medical doctors, four consultants and a nephrologist. He went on to say, the County Public Service Board would make sure all doctors that are due for promotion and are not yet promoted will be considered on the same and their arrears paid respectively.
The public doctors have been on a 12 day strike.
